n一sho mox一ng sh一yon泥沙模型试验(sediment model test)研究泥沙问题的水工模型试脸。它是在水工模型试验的基础上，增加泥沙运动相似准则，用来研究水利水电枢纽工程、工农业引水口建筑物或其他局部河段平面形态变化和河槽冲淤变化的模型试验。如模型底部为可动材料塑造而成，则称为动床模型。 泥沙模型试验主要模拟挟沙水流和河床的相互作用，除满足水流运动相似条件，即河槽边界条件几何相似、水流流态相似、水流胆力相似、弗劳德(Froude)数相等诸条件外，同时还要满足泥沙运动相似条件，即泥沙沉降速度、起动流速和扬动流速的比尺与水流速度比尺一致，模型沙级配条件符合天然沙级配条件。泥沙模型一般分为悬沙模型和底沙模型，也有采用全沙模型，即在模型中同时满足悬沙和底沙运动相似条件。常见泥沙模型多为变态模型，其水平比尺大于垂直比尺，二者之比称为变率。常用的模型沙材料有煤屑、煤灰、轻质塑料沙(苯乙烯二乙烯共聚体)、电木粉(酚醛塑料)以及经过沥青处理的木屑等。 由于泥沙运动的复杂性，严格地同时满足各种相似条件实际上是不可能的。从实用要求出发，在保证主要目标相似前提下，允许其他相似指标有所偏离，但不超过一定范围。例如以模拟冲刷为主的模型，淤积相似条件允许有所偏离，反之亦然。因此在正式试验前，要用已有资料对模型设计及选沙进行验证试验。 目前泥沙学科本身仍不够成熟，各家公式计算差别甚大。因此模型试验成果主要依赖于验证资料的可靠性。同时也与试验人员的技术水平及经验有关。由于水流比尺和泥沙比尺不同而形成的时间差异，对大比尺模型是一项不容忽视的问题，应用泥沙试验成果时，应给予科学的判断。 泥沙模型试验在中国是20世纪50年代以后逐步发展起来的。中国钱宁等人在泥沙模型试验的理论和实践中做出重要贡献。进人70年代中期以后，为满足葛洲坝工程、长江三峡工程等的要求，中国泥沙模型试验进一步得到发展，已处于世界前列。
