借助于贵阳市北供电局温泉渡假村这个载体,论述了在不同的场地特征制约下的建筑创作之路,特别针对复杂的山地条件,提出了应符合"此情、此景、此地"的创作原则;同时,为传承建筑的地域特征,文章归纳出三种手法,即:现代材料的自然反射和映衬;当地材料的"粗粮细作";山地精神的内在传承来创造出有地域特色的山地建筑群。
