   水库某一水位以下或两水位之间的蓄水容积。表征水库规模的主要指标。通常均指坝前水位水平面以下的静库容。校核洪水位(关系水库安全的水位)以下的水库容积称总库容;校核洪水位与防洪限制水位(水库在汛期允许兴利蓄水的上限水位)间的水库容积称调洪库容,当汛期内防洪限制水位变化时,指校核洪水位与最低的防洪限制水位间的库容;防洪高水位(下游防护区遭遇设计洪水时,水库达到的最高洪水位)与防洪限制水位间的水库容积称防洪库容,当汛期内防洪限制水位变化时,指防洪高水位与最低的防洪限制水位间的库容;正常蓄水位与死水位(水库在正常运用情况下,允许消落到的最低水位)间的水库容积称兴利库容,又称调节库容,在正常运用情况下,其中的水可用于供水、灌溉、水力发电、航运等兴利用途;正常蓄水位与防洪限制水位之间的水库容积称重叠库容,是防洪库容或调洪库容与兴利库容之间的共用部分;死水位以下的水库容积称死库容,又称垫底库容,它不参加径流调节,只在战备、检修等特殊情况下才允许排放。库容值可由地形图量测计算,也可用地形法或断面法进行实地测量,再经计算获得。
