调制X线
物理学术语。X线管焦点射出的穿过人体的、并经历人体结构不同程度衰减而强弱不均的X线称调制X线，又称已调X线。此处是借用了无线电通讯中“调制”的概念。在X线成像过程中，可将X线管发出的X线比作为载波，将人体内部结构密度/厚度的差异性比作为音频信号。因为人体内部结构对X线衰减的不一致性，当X线管发出的“均匀射线”穿过人体并经调制后，就形成了X线对比度。人体结构对X线的不同程度的衰减称为“调制”。调制X线是不可见的，但是是传递信息的载体。当已调X线照射到胶片、荧光屏、影像增强管或CT的探测器等信息转换载体时，最终可将不可见的X线转变为可见的光学密度影像。
