    牡蛎为重要海水养殖品种。褶牡蛎和近江牡蛎我国南北沿海均产;长牡蛎在我国沿海均有分布,但以广东。福建较
介绍:
    近江牡蛎以有淡水入海的河口生长最繁盛而得名。贝壳大型,长达24厘米,高15厘米,质坚厚。体型多变化,有圆形、卵圆形、三角形和长方形等。右壳略扁平,表面环生薄而平直的鳞片,低齿贝的鳞片平、薄、脆,高龄口鳞片层层相叠,坚厚如石。左壳较有壳厚大,鳞片少。壳面有灰、青、紫、棕黄等颜色。壳内面白色,边缘为灰紫色。韧带长而阔。紫黑色。闭壳肌痕大,一般为卵圆形或肾脏形,位于中部背侧。
