元宵节 旧历正月十五
闹元宵是晋中地区最热闹的民间节庆活动，又称闹“红火”，这天家家户户会在院子里将石头垒起来并在当中生火，以祈求一年的生活红红火火。此外还会举行包括舞狮子、耍龙灯、踩高跷、划旱船、耍霸王鞭、扭秧歌、点花灯、放焰火、供社神等民间活动，热闹非凡。
“龙抬头”节 旧历二月初二
这一天有吃煎饼的习俗，百姓以此祈求一年平安。
盂兰节 旧历七月十五
又称“鬼节”，家家户户都会在这天祭祖扫墓。
重阳节 旧历九月初九
登高赏菊，吃特制的软米油糕。
