利用密闭容器中空气的可压缩性製成的弹簧。它的变形与载荷关係特性线为曲线﹐可根据需要进行设计。空气弹簧能在任何载荷作用下保持自振频率不变﹐能同时承受径向和轴向载荷﹐也能传递一定的扭矩﹐通过调整内部压力可获得不同的承载能力。空气弹簧的结构形式很多﹐有囊式和膜式等﹐常用於车辆的悬架和机械设备的防振系统。
