性质:一种输送液体的设备。利用大气压力和液体重力:使液体先越过较高位置然后达到较低目的地的最简单的装置,如图所示(图暂缺)。操作时,先使液体充满虹吸管,此法以人工为主,或用真空泵抽吸。先将阀3和阀5关闭,开启阀4。由于抽真空,贮槽中的液体在大气压力的作用下便上升充满虹吸管后,关闭阀4并开启阀3,虹吸管便发生作用,液体即因重力作用不停地由管中流出,直至贮槽中液面降至虹吸管的入口处为止。
