The microstructure morphology of 38CrMoAl steel axial plunger after gas nitrocarburizing and liquid sulpho-nitrocarburizing were analyzed and observed by optical microscope and SEM,and the chemical composition of the penetrated layer were measured qualitatively by energy spectrum analysis.

In this paper the sulpho nitro oxy carburizing and the hydrogen removing technology of round broach,the structure of diffusion layer and the relation between the depth,properties,the hydrogen content of diffusion layer and the service life of the broach are studied.
