性质:从设计角度讲是指以分解-协调原理对动态大系统实行多级优化。它将整体大规模优化问题通过参数分解或结构分解转化为一些相互关联的子问题。上级子问题通过协调变量规定下级子问题的内容,使之成为易于求解的简单问题或小规模问题,解得的结果反馈到上级子问题中,按一定的准则改进协调变量,如此反复迭代,最后趋于整体优化。从实施角度讲是指采用局部控制器和全局控制器对动态大系统实行多级控制。在更广泛的意义上,则是指对大系统实现从基础控制、多变量优化控制、稳态优化、作业调度到生产计划与管理的多级控制与管理系统。
