The paper analyzes the factors that effect sediment-transporting capacity and effect of jet flow in Tongguan section and preliminarily calculates the function of sedimentation cleaning by jet flow for increasing sediment-transporting capacity based on the mechanism of sediment transport and field testing data of sedimentation cleaning by jet flow at Tongguan section.

On the premise that the bed level at Tongguan Station is not affected, the channel volume of reservoir is kept in equilibrium between deposition and erosion, and the deposition in the Lower Yellow River is not increased, the comprehensive usage should be given into full play in united operation of Sanmenxia and Xiaolangdi Reservoir.
三门峡水库在不影响潼关河床高程、维持槽库容冲淤平衡及有利于黄河下游减淤的前提下 ,应当配合小浪底水库充分发挥它们的综合利用效益。
