The non-linear finite element method for plate-shell structure is proposed to trace up whole-process analysis of tapered H-section steel column,while the effects of many factors on member such as residual stress,initial geometric imperfections and so on are focused.

Then take a nonlinear buckling calculation, based on the eigenvalue buckling analysis, which considered the effects of initial imperfection and more accurately reflected the performance of column on fire; studied effect of different elevated temperature conditions on fire resistance performance of H-section column.

Described hereby is the reinforcing technique adopted in construction of the tunnel passing under Qingshan Lake, using the H-formed steel truss monolithic formwork to avoid leakage and meet the waterproof requirement of the tunnel.
