分析了苏北运河部分船闸的通过能力及其主要影响因素,结果发现2001年施桥船闸单驳和单船的平均吨位分别为228t和168t,主要分别集中于100～300t和50～300t,而船队和单船的闸室有效面积利用率主要分别集中于0 4～0 7和0 6～0 7,这说明船型、吨位以及闸室有效面积利用率确定的一次过闸吨位对于船闸通过能力的影响最大。
