Base on the application of the large-size geotextile bags in the dams in Shanghai Yangshan deep water port,this paper presents an introduction to the materials,construction ship & equipment,construction technology,quality inspection,as well as effect analysis of large-size geotextile bags.

This technique involving the reinforcement of soft soil deposits with soilbags has been used widely in fields of water resource engineering, ocean engineering, traffic engineering, civil engineering and environmental engineering etc.
