| 地震区划 seismic zoning 世界各国为了防御地震灾害而把国土按地震危险程度划分为若干区域的工作。表示地震区划的地图称为地震区划图。编制地震区划图是地震区划工作的中心任务。国家的基本建设项目都要按地震区划图来制定抗震设计标准。地震区划实质上属于长期地震预报范畴。由于地震预测目前尚处于探索阶段，在科学上远未得到解决，因此地震区划图只是暂行的，本身通过科研工作的深入还在不断修改和完善。
编制地震区划图的主要根据是: ①历史地震资料，即该地历史上是否发生过破坏性地震；②当地地质构造条件，即从地质构造上分析发生破坏性地震的可能性。当前的研究趋势是，首先融合历史地震资料和地质构造资料（也参考地球物理观测结果），找出潜在震源区，然后在概率基础上预测一定地点的地震危险性，主要是给出一定概率下的地面运动参数（如加速度或速度峰值），以地面运动参数的等值线来描绘该地区的烈度分布。 |
