| 全反射 total reflection 入射光能量在介质界面上全部被反射的现象。根据折射定律 ，  式中θi和θt分别为入射角和折射角；n1和n2分别为第一介质(入射光所在介质)和第二介质(折射光所在介质)的折射率。当n1＞n2时，必有θt＞θi。折射角θt＝90°时的入射角θ0称为全反射的临界角，入射角θi＞θ0时，第二介质中不再存在折射光，入射光能量全部被反射。故产生全反射的条件为：反射界面为光密-光疏界面；入射角大于全反射的临界角，即 全反射现象被广泛用来设计制造各类全反射棱镜，它们的主要用途是改变光线的传播方向，全反射棱镜造成的光能损失比普通平面反射镜要小得多。在偏振棱镜中，全反射现象被用来分离晶体中的寻常光和非常光(见双折射)，以得到纯的线偏振光。光导通讯中使用的光学纤维也是利用全反射使光在纤维中传输。 |
