| 吴景超(1901～1968) 中国社会学家。安徽徽州（今歙县）人。1968年5月7日卒于北京。1915年考入清华学校，1923年赴美入明尼苏达大学就读，获学士学位。1925～1928年入芝加哥大学，先后获硕士、博士学位。1928年回国，任金陵大学社会学系教授兼系主任。1931年任清华大学社会学系教授，并进行城市经济调查。1935年在国民政府行政院任职，1947年返回清华大学社会学系任教。1952年后长期任教于中国人民大学经济系。吴景超在其代表作《第四种国家的出路》中，提出了“发展都市以救济农村”的理论。他根据人口密度和职业两个标准将世界上的国家划分为4种，认为中国属于第四种国家，出路在于：充分利用国内资源；改良生产技术；实行公平分配；节制人口，并提倡“用机械的生产方法，去代替筋肉的生产方法”。他是中国社会学界最早研究都市社会学的代表人物之一，侧重于从经济的角度来研究社会，特别是都市社会，还探讨了理想都市等问题。著有《社会组织》、《都市社会学》、《社会的生物基础》、《劫后灾黎》。 |
