海幕武器这是一种消极被动性武器。它主要是运用人工方法制造出一种能保护舰船和军事设施的防护幕，使敌舰船、飞机以及岸基雷达无法发现目标，达到神出鬼没、隐蔽出击的目的。海幕武器实际上早在第二次世界大战时期就已经开始用于实战之中，并取得了良好的效果。1943年9月，美为掩护第五集团军强渡意大利的沃尔图诺河，在沃尔图诺河上制造了一条约5千米长、1.6千米宽的人工雾障，成功地掩护了部队的作战行动，80年代初期，前苏军的潜艇进入瑞典领海进行大量非法活动，瑞军发现其行踪后，立即派出大批各型海军装备实施立体的围追堵截，企图一举将其捉拿归案。然而，就在瑞典人的眼皮下面，前苏潜艇溜之大吉，据瑞军推测正是使用了水下特殊烟幕才得以逃脱。目前，海幕武器仍在进行深入研制，其性能不断改善。
