| 电磁级联簇射 electromagnetic cascade shower 高能电子、正电子或光子在物质中断续地，即级联地经过多次电磁作用产生大量电子、正电子及光子的现象。其基本机制是高能电子（或正电子）在物质原子核的电磁场中通过轫致辐射放出一个光子而损失部分能量，高能光子在核电磁场转化为能量较低的正负电子对。这些产生出来的次级电子 、正电子及光子 ，只要能量够高，就会继续上述的过程，直到放出的电子 、正电子及光子能量低到被物质吸收为止。这个现象可被用来作为探测初级电子（或光子）能量的原理。 |
