是一种新近研发并且已投入使用的新型感光材料。硅光电导材料的光电导特性好，光谱适应范围宽，机械强度比硒高，使用寿命长，毒性小，材料资源极其丰富。
无定形硅感光鼓的结构是由表面层、实体导层、阻挡层和导电铝基四层结构组成。其表面层、实体导层和阻挡层都是无定形硅层。阻挡层起着防止电子从铝基注入的作用；实体导层既是载流子产生层，也是载流子的输送层；表面层的作用是保护实体导层（光导层）免受电晕放电以及显影材料和清洁材料的损害，同时具有抗腐蚀和抗潮湿的作用。
