XlnXI yUQn信息源(infon们巴tion~e)产生所要传输原始消息或信息的来源。简称信源。信息的获取或产生主要依赖于信源。它一般以符号的形式发出信息，从信息源发出的信息叫做消息，如打电报的人的大脑即是信息源，写在纸上的文字即是消息。消息的形式是多种多样的，它可以是符号、文字、语言、音乐、数据、图像等。它可以是离散序列，也可以是连续序列，但都是随机发生的。亦即在未收到这些消息.之前，不可能确切地知道它们的内容，这些消息可以用随机变量或随机过程来描述。信源大致可分为3大类:①自然信源。包括物理、化学、天体、地学、生物等方面的自然信息。获取这种信息的主要工具是传感器，传感器主要有物理型(热、光、磁、电、声、力)，化学型(气体、化合等)和生物型。②社会信源。包括管理、金融、商情以及各种情报等。采集信息主要靠社会调查，利用统计方法加以整理。③知识源。古今中外记录下来的知识和专家的经验都蕴含着大量的信息。信源的核心问题是它包含的信息到底有多少，怎样将信息定量地表示出来。即如何确定信息量、消息的统计特性和信源产生信息的速率。现代遥感以其视域广，感测范围大，以及重复观测的特点，为地学研究提供了大空间、多时相的各种动态信息，这是常规途径难以实现的信息源。随着新一代传感器的成熟和完善，航天遥感和航空遥感将会成为获取信息的重要手段，并将成为资源研究的重要信息源。(田国良)
