性质:有三种异构体。o-溴苯酚:油状液体,熔点5.6℃,沸点194%;,折射率1.5890,密度1.492g/cm3,闪点42℃;由2,4-苯酚二磺酸在碱性下溴化后水解脱去磺酸基,或由苯酚在叔丁胺存在下溴化制得。m-溴苯酚:无色晶体,熔点33℃,沸点236℃,闪点110℃;由3-溴苯胺经重氮化后水解制得。P-溴苯酚:无色晶体,熔点66℃,沸点238%;由苯酚在二硫化碳中低温溴代制成。三种异构体均微溶于水,易溶于乙醇、乙醚和氯仿,对皮肤和黏膜有刺激作用。它们具有酚的一般性质。都用作有机合成的中间体。邻溴苯酚可与碱作用制备雷琐辛,对溴苯酚可用作消毒剂。
