Physical Mechanism and Half-width of Spectrum Widening;

The half-width values of X-ray diffraction profile and microhardness on the electro-polished and ground surfaces of super high strength steel 37SiMnCrNiMoV and spring steel 60Si2Mn that were quenched and tempered at different temperature were measured.

The results were as follows:The changes of half-width were closely related to tempering time and tempering temperature.

Effect of Aiming Distance on Full Width at Half Maximum(FWHM) of Signal Pulses Generated by Thermal Spray Particles and Corresponding Calibration;

The unit cell parameters and full width of the half maximum (FWHM) of (110) Bragg peak of as prepared o-LiMnO2 in different sintering temperatures were investigated.

The result showed that the doping not only increased the dislocation density, but also increased FWHM (Full Width at Half Maximum).

In general,the half width of X-ray diffraction is used as a strength index of material surface.

In accordance to the accurate Voigt profile expression obtained by using the Fourier trans- form method,the relationship among the half widths of the Voigt profile,the Gaussian profile and the Lorentzian profile is calculated with the Taylor series.
