| 秃鹫 Aegypius monachus；european black vulture 鸟纲隼形目鹰科秃鹰属的一种。又名狗头鹰，俗名座山雕。分布于南欧、小亚细亚、中央亚细亚和印度北部。在中国，产于西部和北部，偶见于沿海各省。为大型猛禽，体长约118厘米。全身主要为黑褐色；头部被以污褐绒羽；颈后有部分裸秃，为铅蓝色；皮和颈部有皱领，为淡褐并近于白色。两翅宽大有力。嘴峰强而侧扁，爪黑但不锋利。栖息于高原和山麓，常单独活动，在草原、山地等处的高空翱翔，寻觅动物的尸体为食。当食物缺乏时，也吃活动物。大多在高树营巢，少数把巢筑在岩石上。春季产卵，每产1～2枚，卵污白色，具斑。雌雄共同孵卵，孵化期55天。刚孵出的幼鸟全身密生灰色稚羽，颈侧裸出，生长较慢。是中国国家二级保护动物。 |
