| 临汾市 位于中国山西省南部，临汾地区中部，太行山、吕梁山东西两面遥相对峙，汾河纵贯南北。1990年人口58.8万。汉族为主，有回、满、蒙古、维吾尔、白、侗、苗、彝等15个少数民族。面积1304平方千米。汉高祖二年（前205）置平阳县。隋开皇元年（581）改为平河县，大业元年（605）改称临汾县。1948年5月设市。1949年撤市建县。1971年析临汾县置临汾市。1983年临汾县并入临汾市。矿产有煤、铝矾土、白云石、石灰石、石膏、高岭土、陶土、铁等。土特产主要有龙祠韭菜、柿子、贾得麻纸、特早熟苹果。名胜古迹主要有尧庙、尧陵、元代舞台、仙洞沟、铁佛寺。 |
