产地及产期:
    分布于长江上游。
介绍:
    口端位,下颌比上颌稍长。眼较小,吻长大于眼径。侧线鳞65-70。背鳍起点至吻端较至尾鳍基为近。胸鳍末端达到或超过腹鳍基部。臀鳍条3,23-28。
  中上层鱼类,主食小鱼。个体不大,常见者体长150-300毫米。数量不多。
