补充资料：西团山墓群
吉林省文物保护单位。位于吉林城西2公里处船营区欢喜乡吉兴村西团山上。该山海拔236.2米，高出附近平地约40米，山势略呈圆形，故名。山的西南坡散布较多的石、陶遗物，为墓葬区。相邻的西冈是居住区。墓葬区南北长约100米，东西宽约40米，总面积约4000平方米。1950年9月，在中国科学院郭沫若院长的倡议和文化部文物局的领导下，组成了由裴文中教授任队长的东北考古发掘团，对西团山墓葬进行了第三次发掘。共发掘石棺墓19座，获得石、陶器138件。事后在以东北考古发掘团名义发表的报告中，正式建议将以西团山墓葬文化遗存为代表的考古文化命名为"西团山文化"。西团山石棺墓的结构与形制是：石棺所用的石材多是花岗岩，有板石和块石两种，在砌筑方法上有板石立砌和块石垒砌。墓的排列方向是因山就势，绝大多数是头朝山顶，脚向山麓。葬式多为仰身直肢葬，但也有仰身屈肢(屈臂或屈腿)葬。随葬品的摆放位置与组合有一定规律：白石管、野猪牙饰物多放在头胸附近，石斧、石刀、石镞多放在盆骨和股骨两侧，陶壶、陶罐、陶碗多放在足下或副棺中。西团山文化现已被考古学界和历史学界所公认。
