形态特征:樟科樟属乔木植物,高可达30米。枝与叶均有樟脑味。叶互生,薄革质,卵形,长6-12厘米,宽3-6厘米,两面无毛,下面灰绿色,具离基三由脉。圆锥花序腋生,花小,淡黄绿色。果球形,紫黑色,直径6-8毫米。
生境分布:分布于长江以南及西南各省区。日本也有。
用途 是提取樟脑油的原料,可供医药和工业用。叶、果、枝、根均可入药,有祛风散寒、强心镇痉、杀虫等功效。木材是造船、橱箱、建筑等材料。
