性质:一个具有特定特性(如对某抗生素有耐药性的),能被方便地认出而用于筛选细胞的基因。例如一个对抗生素氨苄青霉素具有耐药性的基因(ampr)通过一个适当的载体,引入宿主细菌,并把全部培养涂于含有氨苄青霉素的琼脂平板,只有带有ampr标记的细胞能存活。这些细胞的菌落便能被认出和分离。这样由这个载体可携带的外源基因也同时存活。
