【来源】
为葡萄科植物粉叶爬山虎的根或藤茎。
【植物形态】
粉叶爬山虎 落叶攀援藤本。幼枝有4～6棱脊；嫩叶带紫色，卷须3～5分枝，末端具吸盘。掌状复叶互生；小叶5，狭椭圆形至椭圆形，长3～6厘米，宽1.5～2.5厘米，先端长渐尖，基部楔形，边缘中部以上有疏锯齿，下面带粉白色，无毛或沿中脉微有短柔毛；叶柄长3～6厘米。聚伞花序与叶对生；花5基数；花萼盘状，全缘；花瓣椭圆形，开展；雄蕊5，与花瓣对生；花柱圆柱形，子房2室。浆果黑色。花期9月。 常攀附墙壁、岩石或乔木上。分布我国东部及西南各省。

《贵州草药》："根，性平，味甘、辣。"
【功用主治】
①《浙江天目山药植志》："根或藤：治关节疼痛；根：治妇女白带。" ②《贵州药植目录》："根，清热解毒，驱风除湿。治无名肿毒，风湿劳伤，关节疼痛。"
【用法与用量】
内服：煎汤，2～3两。
