    (吹绵蚧) 
    分布于我国东北、华北、西北、华中、华东、华 南、西南;在国外分布于日本、朝鲜、菲律宾、印度 尼西亚和斯里兰卡,欧洲、非洲、北美洲也有分布。
    雄成虫体长3毫米,翅长3-3.5毫米。虫体橘红色;触角11节,每节轮生长毛数根;胸部黑色;翅紫黑色;腹部8节,末节有瘤状突起2个。雌虫体长6-7毫米;身体橙黄色,椭圆形;无翅;触角们节,黑色两性虫体腹部扁平,背面隆起,上被淡黄白色蜡质物,腹端有白色蜡质囊,腹部周缘有小瘤状突起10余个并分泌遮盖身体的绵团状蜡粉,故很难见其真面日。 
  每年完成2-3代,多以若虫态过冬,一般4-6月间发生严重,温暖潮湿的气候有利于虫害的发生。主要危害柑橘、油桐、苹果、梨等林木和果树。
