物种特征:描述:中等体型(23厘米)的低矮灰色鹬。嘴长而上翘;上体灰色,具晦黯的白色半截眉纹;黑色的初级飞羽明显;繁殖期肩羽具黑色条纹;腹部及臀白色。飞行时翼上狭窄的白色内缘明显。 虹膜-褐色;嘴-黑色,嘴基黄色;脚-橘黄。 叫声:轻柔悦耳的哨音hu hu hu或较尖的颤音tee-tee-tee或tit-ter-tee。 分布范围:繁殖于欧亚大陆北部;冬季南移远及澳大利亚和新西兰。 分布状况:迁徙时常见于中国东部及西部。部分非繁殖鸟整个夏季可见于中国南部。 习性:喜沿海泥滩、小河及河口,进食时与其他涉禽混群,但飞行时不混群。通常单独或一两只在一起活动,偶成大群。
