性质:用于分子计算的Xα方程。在Xα方程基础上采用松饼罐头(muffin-tin)近似,将分子分为三个区:原子内区I,原子间区II和原子外区III,进而对其势能采取近似,然后根据Xα方程分别对三个区域利用边界条件建立久期方程并求解,从而得到分子轨道和能级。该方法计算简单,用过渡态概念计算的结果和能谱数据接近,而且适于原子簇的计算。但是其计算精度比从头算差,对共轭分子计算也不理想。
