The breed characteristics and current developing situation of Hainan yellow cattle were eluci- dated in the review,the strategies of resource protection,utilization and development of Hainan yellow cattle were proposed by discussing deteriorating reasons of the breed in order to find out the concrete mea- sures of conserve the germplasm of Hainan yellow cattle under the tropic climate.
Genetic diversity in Xuwen and Hainan yellow cattle and Holstein cows based on protein polymorphisms was studied with starch electrophoresis in this experiment.
Relationship between Xuwen and Hainan yellow cattle was studied with RAPD technology using Holstein.

To investigate the genetic diversity and genetic data of Sinan Cattle in Guizhou province,the mitochondrial DNA D-loop region complete sequence in 21 individuals of Sinan cattle were sequenced.
Body weight and body sizes indexes of Sinan cattle and the F1 hybrids at newborn,6-,12-,18-and 24-month-old were measured,and the economic benefits from feeding hybrids were investigated in the present work.
