| 九寨沟自然保护区 位于中国四川省南坪县岷山山脉的南麓。1978年建立自然保护区，面积60000公顷。因周围有 9 个藏民村寨而得名。九寨沟处在四川盆地向青藏高原的过渡地带，地形复杂，四周群山耸峙。在纵深60千米的山谷中共有大小不同、形状各异的湖泊108个，许多高山湖泊的流水经过悬崖陡坎 ，又形成几十处瀑布。其中最著名的有诺日朗瀑布、珍珠滩瀑布、翡翠瀑布和高瀑布等。山坡有茂密的森林，山顶有皑皑白雪，构成了十分美丽的景色，是中国第一个以保护自然风景为主要目的的自然保护区。这里的植物种类繁多，整个范围内原始森林面积达200多平方千米。山坡植被垂直 带谱保存完整，自海拔2000～2400米，为针叶阔叶混交林带，栎、桦、杨、白蜡树等阔叶树和油松、华山松、黄果冷杉等针叶树混交生长；2400～3200米为耐寒的方杉、 冷杉组成的暗针叶林带，林下生长大片箭竹；3200米以上为高山灌丛草甸。保护区内稀有和珍贵动物有大熊猫、金丝猴、羚羊、小熊猫、獐及水獭、天鹅、蓝马鸡等。九寨沟沟僻人稀，景物特异，有“童话世界”之称。1983年正式开辟为游览区。已被联合国教科文组织列为世界自然遗产。
