茂兰喀斯特森林自然保护区位于贵州荔波县南郊的茂兰国家级喀斯特森林自然保护区,是我国中亚热带喀斯特地貌上,原生性森林植被保存较完好的一块宝地,总面积达130多平方千米,森林覆盖率达91.59%。

这里生长有乔木树种达500多种,有被称为活化石的银杏、鹅掌楸等多种珍稀树种,并保存林麝、猕猴、香獐、华南虎、野牛、熊、豹、白猴等许多古老的野生动物。保护区内还有乡水河瀑布、小七孔、溶洞群、鸳鸯湖、大七孔、瑶族风情等景观。
