| 苦 duhkha 佛教基本观念之一，表达了佛教对于人的现实存在所作的价值判断。在佛陀原始教义当中，四谛概括了佛教所欲揭示给世人的真理，其中第一条便是关于苦的真理。苦可以归为生苦、老苦、病苦、死苦、怨憎会苦、爱别离苦、求不得苦、五蕴盛苦8类。按照佛陀的看法，存在(生存)是有条件性的，依缘的，这就决定了生存的短暂和局限。主观上，人会不断产生实际上无从满足的欲望；客观上，对象是暂时的、无常的，这就决定了不满足和绝望的必然性，这便是本质上的苦。苦的根源在于无明（无知），由于无明，人的生物本能贪欲便时时萌动，一方面造成现实的痛苦，另一方面又留下恶的潜能，就是业，从而始终将人的生存桎梏在无尽的痛苦循环即轮回之中。摆脱苦，只有证道，即通过宗教修持，获得对人生存在真相的了解（悟）。 |
