The latest progress is summerized about study and exploitation on Pinellia ternate, which is a traditional Chinese medicine, in the aspects of plant shape mutation, genetic diversity analysis, effective elements, domestication and cultivation, preparation technique and genuine or fake identify, etc.

The foundational study work was carrying out including domestication and cultivation,we cultured liquid strains using liquid shake flask method,inoculated them into culture medium in bag under laboratory conditions,and then acquired fruit bodies of Pholiota adipose.

The growth vigor,yield and quality of Smallanthus sonchifolius planted in Luodian County(the river valley region with low latitude and temperature) were analyzed in three years\' domestication cultivation to discuss its adaptability in Luodian County.
