为蔷薇科植物无腺白叶莓的根。
【植物形态】
无腺白叶莓 落叶灌木，高1～4米。茎直立，稍呈拱形。茎枝、叶轴及叶柄散生皮刺，枝被灰白色柔毛，老后无毛。3出复叶，小叶卵形、广卵形至长椭圆状卵形，长6～12厘米，宽3～6.5厘米，顶生小叶较大，先端渐尖或长尖，基部圆或浅心形，侧生小叶常偏斜，上面疏生白柔毛，下面密生白绒毛，边缘具不整齐粗齿，小叶近无柄；托叶线形。短总状花序，总轴和花梗密生短绒毛，萼5，花瓣5，倒卵形，有啮蚀状边缘，和萼片几等长，红色。聚合果球形，径1.5厘米，橘红色。 生于山坡疏林及溪旁丛林内。分布浙江、江西、湖南、湖北、四川、贵州等地。
【功用主治】
治小儿风寒咳逆、气喘：早谷藨鲜根一两，加芫荽菜、紫苏、前胡各三钱，水煎，冲红糖，早晚饭前各服一次。
