Based on the forest inventory conducted in 2003 in the DaxingAnling Forest Region, this paper presents an analysis on the dramatic increase in forest mortality and puts forward some countermeasures as for how to reduce it.

| 小兴安岭 位于中国黑龙江省东北部。西北接伊勒呼里山，东南到松花江畔，长约500千米。西北-东南走向。山势低缓，海拔600～1000米。主峰平顶山，海拔1429米。分水岭两侧不对称，西南坡缓长，东北坡陡短。东南段主要出露花岗岩和变质岩，为长期隆起剥蚀区。西北段广泛分布第三纪陆相沉积。第三纪末、第四纪初才沿东北、西北向断裂抬升，并与东南部连接。与此同时，伴随有玄武岩喷发。小兴安岭东北侧的逊河流域保存有大片玄武岩台地，东南侧德都附近有五大连池火山群，直到1719、1921年还有火山喷发。是中国主要林区之一。西北部以兴安落叶松、白桦为主，东南部则以红松、鱼鳞松、臭松、水曲柳、椴树等为主。有铁路通往伊春市乌伊岭。 |
