| 湍蛙属 Staurois 蛙科的一属。适应湍流生活；体扁平，后肢细长；趾蹼发达，绝大多数为全蹼，指、趾末端膨大成吸盘，背面有一横凹痕，腹面呈肉垫状，借以贴附在溪流石上。中国有15种，分布于秦岭以南、西藏南部、华东、华南和海南岛。成蛙夜出活动，一般生活于山溪水边或岸边，有的蹲在瀑布下的石头上。4～9月为繁殖季节，湍蛙只在产卵季节才能大量发现；俟后就很难找到。蝌蚪吻部低圆，眼位于头背上方，体宽扁，尾肌强，尾鳍低。湍蛙蝌蚪腹面口后有1马蹄形大吸盘，用于吸附在溪流石上，不致被水冲走，常逆流缓缓向前移动。 |
