性状： 其盐酸盐为白色结晶或结晶性粉末，无臭，味苦。熔点231℃。易溶于水及甲醇。
药理作用：
为非麻醉性中枢性镇咳药。药理研究证明，其镇咳作用不及可待因，但优于维静宁。本品尚具有局麻作用和松弛支气管平滑肌作用，并有较强的抗胆碱、抗组胺作用。体外试验证明，本品具有粘痰溶解作用，使痰液的粘滞性降低。与可待因不同，本品不抑制呼吸，亦无成瘾性。
适应症： 用于各种原因引起的咳嗽。
用量用法： 口服：每次７５ｍｇ，１日３次。
注意事项： 未见有明胜古迹显的不良反应。
规格： 片剂：每片７５ｍｇ。
