      利用计算机模拟某种自然现象或实验现象。要求学生通过一系列观察和推理过程建立它的模型;或在给定的模型条件下考察其有效范围并进行模型修正。此方法已被广泛地用于理工科的实验模拟教学,情况逼真,富有直观感觉,效果与真实的实验等同。在生物实验中,例如奥地利生物学家G.J.门德尔遗传定律,用果蝇作实验,往往要几个月时间,而用计算机模拟实验,却能迅速获得结果。这种计算机模拟实验也称作"干式实验",不但节约器材费,而且更为有效,并能解除进行某些真正实验所具有的危险性和不可能性,例如能解除原子能实验的强辐射线对人体健康的危害性,以及能模拟宇航人员的现场训练等难于做到的实验。
