trml-3d是一种现代化的全机动式雷达系统,安装在8轮驱动的man卡车上,可实施快速部署。该系统配备有嵌入式惯性导航系统和全球定位系统,可在雷达快速展开时提供雷达 位置坐标。trml-3d还能够在运动过程中与其它预警雷达和指挥中心保持密切协作。

trml-3d的探测距离为200千米,根据工作模式的不同,其天线扫描周期在2-15秒之间。由于其雷达仰角为45度,最大目标高度为20千米,因此雷达没有战术弹道导弹跟踪能力。不过,trml-3d可以探测到各种类型的空气动力目标(如小型无人机、直升机等),并能进行自动跟踪(最多可同时跟踪100个目标)。该系统的完全展开时间少于10分钟,由于自动化程度较高,其装卸过程只需两名操作手便可完成。
