大小常性(size eonstaney)在不同距离观察同一物体时，虽然物体在视网膜上的呈像大小发生了变化，但对物体大小的知觉并没有发生变化的一种知觉特性。大小常性是在日常生活中逐渐形成的，人们在判断物体大小时，己经把观察的距离估计在内了。当感知不到观察距离时，大小常性就会受到破坏。知觉的恒常性使人在观察条件发生变化的条件下，仍能觉察出物体本身的特点，这是人类适应环境的一项重要心理功能。 (高云麟撰林仲贤审)
