For residential buildings in Chongqing,we have applied Doe-2 Dynamic Building Energy Consumption Simulation & Analysis Software developed by Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory,University of California,to calculate the rule of influence to residential building energy consumption by shading coefficient of exterior windows with different directions and different window-w.

In this paper,the calculation principles and methods of the permeation model for horizontal louvers were firstly introduced,the shading coefficient was obtained and the simulated results were validated by comparing with other results of several kinds of shading design softwares.
