中国工农红军高级指挥员。原名李振华。江苏省邳县人。1926年冬到武汉入中央军事政治学校学习，在该校加入中国共产党。次年秋被派返乡从事工农革命运动，建立中共基层组织，历任中共邳县、东海县委书记和东海中心县委书记等职。1929年秋,调任中共江苏通海(南通、海门）特委书记。同年冬，参加创建中国工农红军第14军,兼任政治委员。1930年4月军长何昆牺牲后，他任军长兼政治委员，整顿部队，加强军政训练，运用游击战术多次挫败国民党军的"围剿"，领导开辟通海游击区。同年秋调任中共江苏省委巡视员。1931年 6月于镇江被国民党当局逮捕,在狱中坚贞不屈。9月19日在镇江北固山英勇就义。
