假鳞茎近椭圆形、狭长圆形或近圆筒壮，长1-2厘米，宽2-9毫米，有节，常有细长的根壮茎。叶1枚，卵形或卵状椭圆形，长3.4-4.5厘米，宽1.8-2.8厘米，先端近急尖，基部近截形；叶柄长2-3厘米。花葶长10-12厘米，明显长于叶，中下部有2-3枚筒状鞘；花苞片膜质，披针形，长1.5-1.8厘米,下部圆筒状并围抱花梗和子房；花梗和子房纤细，长1.7-2厘米；花单朵，直径3-4厘米；萼片与花瓣相似，向后伸展，线状披针形，长1.4-1.8厘米，宽1.5-2厘米，先端渐尖；唇瓣扁囊状（上下压扁），3裂；侧萼片半圆形，近直立，长3-4毫米，宽5-6毫米；中裂片扩大，向前延伸，呈铲状，长8-10毫米，基部有髯毛3束或更多；囊向前延伸，长2-2.3厘米，宽约1厘米，有紫色粗斑纹，末端呈双角状；蕊柱长8-10毫米，两侧有宽翅，全宽约1厘米，倾覆于囊口。花期4-6月。
