The Cu atom is in a geometry of distorted octahedral built by three oxygen atoms of two bidentate chelate carboxylic groups of the ligand(p-Ab-),one oxygen atom from a H2O molecule,and three nitrogen atoms of the ligand of 4,4′-bipyridyl.

The crystal structure shows that the title compound consists of one polyoxomatelate(PMo12O403-) with the Keggin structure,two 4,4′-bipyridine cations,two 4,4′-bipyridine molecules and seven water molecules.
