From 20 March to 31 May in 2003, the migration behavior of the Siberian white cranes was observed at three observation spots established in Zhalong Nature Reserve.

东方白鹳Ciconiaboyciana属鹳形目鹳科的大型涉禽,繁殖于我国东北部,在长江中下游地区越冬,20世纪70年代以前繁殖数量超过1 000只,目前在黑龙江省的繁殖数量不足100只,越冬种群数量一直保持在2 000只左右。
补充资料：白鹤芋
白鹤芋又名银苞芋，原产哥伦比亚，喜高温多温和半阴环境。不耐寒，冬季越冬温度不低于１５℃。宜选择排水好、肥沃的沙壤土。
繁殖
常用分株和播种繁殖。分株，在秋季开花后进行，一般分株后宜浅栽。播种，种子成熟后即播，播后３０天发芽，实生苗需３－４年才能开花。
栽培
盆栽用土必须疏松肥沃，叶片生长期要充分浇水和喷水，保持较高的空气湿度，并适当遮阴。每隔半月施肥１次，以利夏秋间多开花。冬季室内盆栽需１５℃以上，保持盆土湿润，促使全年开花不断。
病虫害
搞病虫害能力较强，生长期有叶斑病发生，可用１：２００波尔多液或用５０％托布津可湿性粉剂５００倍液喷洒防治。
应用
白鹤芋花叶兼美，轻盈多姿，亭亭玉立的白色佛焰花苞，形如合拢的手掌，新加坡称之"白掌"。它是目前欧美最常见的室内盆栽观花植物，也常用于切花观赏。
